One evening, when I was checking my son’s homework, I chanced on the general QA done in his class. The questions were “Which is your favorite season” and my son had answered as summer. The next question was “Which is your favorite fruit” and the answer written was mango. I smiled to myself, because these were exactly the same answers I had written when I was in my school. I called him near me and asked him why he liked summers the most. His reply was pretty straight and immediate which was, “we get 2 months holidays ma and I can enjoy the way I want”. Then I asked him why mango, to which he said, “Ma  ...I love everything about mango” and he ran away to avoid further grilling from me.

So, today I am here to share my sons all-time favorite, Mango milk shake with all of you.

This is one of the simplest and yet yummiest recipe which children of all age groups, adults and even elderly people will relish the most. You can make this with your kids and both of you will enjoy making it together.

Mango is called the King of fruits not just for its sweet taste and bright color but also for its array of nutritive benefits. Mango has lots of vitamins and fiber which help in keeping the stomach full for long hours. The fiber present also enhances the digestive function thereby burning more calories aiding in weight loss. Mango is also rich in vitamin A and vitamin C which helps in promoting good eye sight and strengthens the immune system. Feeding mangoes to children helps them in better concentration in studies as the glutamine acid present in mango boosts the memory and keeps the cells alive.

Enjoy making this chill, creamy and tasty summer drink and your kids are gonna just hug you and ask for it again and again.

Detailed Steps for making Mango Milkshake

You can use any variety of non fibrous mango to make the milkshake. When mangoes are not in season, you can use store bought mango pulp.Take the mango cubes (or mango puree) along with the other ingredients in a blender. For 1/2 cup of mango, I take 1 cup of milk, sugar as per taste and ice cubes. Sugar or honey can be used depending on how sweet you want the drink. If the mangoes are in season, you may not have to add any sweetener at all. Also, cardamom powder is optional too.

Mango Milkshake Preperation Steps

Blend it to a smooth puree. Pour into glasses.Garnish with a drizzle of mango pulp or fresh cream on top. This forms a nice pattern. My daughter decided to add some fresh mango cubes on top along with a basil leaf today while clicking the picture. Mango milkshake is now ready to be served.
