Pakistani cuisine is quite similar to Indian one. It also has various dishes influenced by Iranian and Afgan cuisine. The common flatbreads like chapatti, naan etc. are part of their cuisine. Pakistanis are non-veg lovers and have a variety of meat preparations. It is common to find many kebab varieties, most of which are grilled. In India however, kebabs are cooked in a tandoor. Other semi gravy meat preparations are served with flat breads. It is more milder and not as spicy as the Indian curries. Combining lentils with meat is also popular. Pakistanis not only make chicken and mutton dishes. They also love to eat beef. Also they make some dishes using organs like brain, tongue etc. Pulao varieties like yakhni pulao are little different from the one made in India. It is milder with respect to spices but is richer with meat stock, nuts and dry fruits added. Also talking about the desserts, Pakistanis enjoy rich desserts like our halwa varieties, kheer varieties and some other sweets.
The list given below is by no means authentic Pakistani dishes. These are a collection of Pakistan inspired dishes made more Indian style. I will also be sharing some pakistani recipes from cook books and websites that have attracted me.
