10 Useful tips for a healthy pregnancy

  1. Eat frequent small meals

    This reduces nausea as well as gastric problems. If you are used to eating a 3 course meal, eat the 1st course and enjoy the 2nd course after an hour.

  2. Drink plenty of water

    Water is very important during pregnancy. Let the frequent urination not stop you from drinking lots of liquid.

  3. Have a well balanced diet

    Eat a diet that includes all the food groups. Vegetarians have to take special care to include protein to the diet.

  4. Exercise moderately

    Being active and exercising moderately keeps you fit and prevents unnecessary weight gain.

  5. Stay healthy

    The last thing you want is to get sick while pregnant. Practise hygeine and try to avaoid all causes of getting sick.

  6. Stay happy

    Pregnancy is a period when you may get easily irritated or depressed. Try to engage is activities that keeps you happy and relaxed.

  7. Gain knowledge

    Try to get information about delivery, postpartum period and baby care. Being mentally prepared is a key to successful motherhood.

  8. Dress your best

    Pregnancy doesn't have to make you look dull and boring. Try to get dresses and apply some make up that make you feel beautiful. This also helps in keeping your mood up.

  9. Enjoy the pampering

    This is the best period of life when women gets pampered by family, relatives, friends and co workers. Enjoy and use it to the fullest.

  10. Pray and meditate

    Above all, the miracle of birth has always been beyond human control. Though science has studied every aspect of development, there are things ultimately in the "creators hands". So pray for a healthy baby development and a safe delivery.
