Green Kashayam (Kasayam)

(Kashayam for Common Cold & Cough, Green Wonder)

All ingredients with medicinal value keeps the cold and cough away from you. It is also helpful to avoid indigestion.

Recipe For Green Kashayam

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Basil leaves - 5
  • Tulsi leaves - 5
  • Bettle leaves - 2
  • Ajwain leaves - 2
  • Ginger - 1" piece
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Ajwain - 1 tsp
  • Garlic - 2 pods
  • Black peppercorns - 5-6
  • Cloves - 2
  • Water - 400 ml

Method

  1. Slightly dry roast the cumin seed and ajwain and add the water.
  2. Add all other ingredients and boil for 10-15 minutes.

    Green Kashayam Steps

  3. Reduce to half, strain and serve hot.

Serving Suggestion

  • This green wonder should be taken 2-3 times a day reduce the cold and cough.
  • Children can have it with little honey.
