Instant Fresh Turmeric Pickle

This instant turmeric pickle is made from fresh turmeric. This recipe needs less number of ingredients and can be prepared quickly.

Recipe For Instant Fresh Turmeric Pickle


  • Oil - 1.5 cup
  • Fresh Turmeric - 1 cup (chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 cup (chopped)
  • Garlic - 1/2 cup (chopped)
  • Dark Green Chilies - 1/4 (chopped)
  • Mustard (split) - 2-3 tsp
  • Black Salt - to taste
  • Lemon - 1 big


  1. Heat 1.5 cups of oil and keep aside to cool down completely.
  2. Wash, peel and finely chop fresh turmeric,  ginger, garlic cloves and dark green chilies. Take these in 4:2:2:1 ratio. (Note: If possible take dark green chilies.)
  3. To it add black salt and mustard dal. 
  4. Squeeze one full big lemon in it. Mix everything properly.  
  5. Pour heated and cooled oil on it and again give a good mix. Your instant fresh turmeric pickle is ready to be served.

Note: Avoid wet hands and spoon while using the pickle. Store it in an air tight jar.
