Ragi vada or khelvaragu vadai is a simple and quick to do healthy and nutritious snack. It is made with finger millet flour.

Recipe For Ragi Vada

Ingredients

  • Ragi flour (Finger millet flour) - 2 cups
  • Onion - 1 (chopped)
  • Spinach - 1 cup (Chopped)
  • Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 2 sticks
  • Cilantro - few
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for fry

Method

  1. In a bowl, add Ragi flour, Spinach, onion, Chilly powder, Salt, curry leaves , Cilantro and mix well.
  2. Add required water and make a soft dough ( like chapathi dough).
  3. Heat Oil in a pan. Take a small amount of dough, press it with the help of fingers and drop it in hot Oil.
  4. Fry till it turns into crispy or till the bubbles are almost stopped.

Serving Suggestion

  • Server the worm ragi vada as an evening snack with hot cup of tea or coffee.
