Keerai Masiyal (Mashed Palak)

(Mashed Greens, Mashed Spinach, Mashed Palak, Mashed Chowli)

Recipe For Keerai Masiyal

Ingredients

  • Chowli (Ari keerai) - 1 bunch (cleaned and washed)
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder

For Tempering

  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Rice - 1 tsp
  • Red chili - 1

Method

  1. In a kadai add little water and add the cleaned chowli, salt, turmeric powder and boil.
  2. When it is cooked, remove from gas and allow to cool.
  3. After it cools, grind it in a mixer to form a puree.
  4. Temper with the items mentioned above.

Serving Suggestion

Variation

  • You can make it with spinach too.
