(Milkshake With Oreo Sandwich Cookies)
It’s summer time already. It’s time for cool beverages and frozen treats. Kids and adults enjoy slurping on something cool or licking something cool all day. I usually make many fruit juices, milkshakes, buttermilk drinks and popsicles around this time of the year.
Today’s treat in our house was Oreo Milkshake. Who doesn’t enjoy Oreo cookies? Oreo cookies along with milk make a delicious drink. It is chocolaty, creamy and very refreshing.
Usually while making milkshakes, 1 or 2 scoops of ice cream is used to give that creamy thick texture. No doubt it tastes very delicious. But not everyone is comfortable using ice cream while watching their calories. Here I have given a great alternative to make Oreo milkshake without ice cream. I use frozen milk which is often used to make Sharjah and other drinks in Kerala. The frozen milk gives that creamy texture with so much lesser calories than adding ice cream. I usually freeze couple of cups of milk in the morning and later in the evening enjoy healthy low calorie milkshakes. Also, I do not add any extra sugar for sweetness. The sweetness from the Oreo and the chocolate syrup is just perfect. You can always add 1 or 2 tsp of sugar or honey as per your taste.

Next pour in the milkshake.
Finally crush the remaining 2 Oreos and add the crumbs on top. Serve immediately.
