Caramel Rava Pudding (Caramel Semolina Pudding)

Caramel Rava Pudding or Caramel Semolina Pudding is an easy to prepare dessert and it tastes great. It looks very inviting. This delicious pudding melts in your mouth.

Recipe For Caramel Rava Pudding

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 3-4


  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Butter or Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Rava - 1/4 cup
  • Eggs - 2
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp


For Caramel

  1. Take 1/2 cup of sugar in a pan heat it with 1/4 cup of water.
  2. Switch of the stove when the sugar changes its colour into a golden brown.
  3. Now pour this caramel into the vessel in which we are going to make the pudding.

For Pudding

  1. Boil 2 cups of milk along with 2 tbsp of butter or ghee.
  2. Then add 1/4 cup of rava and cook for 2 to 3 minutes and let it cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl add 2 eggs, 1 tsp of vanilla essence and beat it to mix well.
  4. Then add the cooled milk rava mixture and mix it well.
  5. After mixing pour it in the vessel above the caramel and close the vessel with a lid.
  6. Then steam it in a kadai or idli cooker for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  7. After that check whether it is cooked properly by inserting a clean knife into it.
  8. Release the rava pudding from the sides of the vessel with the help of a knife and demould it. Rava pudding is ready.
