Kundgule is one among the traditional recipes from the Indian state of Maharashtra. This marathi dish is made with Jawar, wheat flour and some spices. It is a winter special snack recipe. You can serve it as a evening snack or for breakfast.

Recipe For Kundgule

Ingredients

  • Wheat atta - 2 cups
  • Jowar Atta - 1 cup
  • Besan - 1/2 cup
  • Dark red green chilli - 5 to 6
  • Garlic - 8 to 10
  • Roasted jeera - 1 tsp
  • Til - 1 tbsp
  • Ajwain
  • haldi powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • chopped kothimbir - 1 cup
  • Oil - for frying

Method

  1. In a big bowl take 2 cups wheat atta, 1 cup jowar atta and 1/2 cup besan and add mix.
  2. In a mixi jar take 5-6 dark red green chilli, 8-10 garlic and 1 teaspoon roasted jeera and grind roughly and add to flour mix.
  3. Then add big table spoon Til, and ajwain 1/2 teaspoon haldi powder and hing salt to taste 1 big cup of chopped kothimbir.

Preapare Dough

  1. Dough should be slightly soft.
  2. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Make Puri

  1. Puri should be slightly thick than our regular atta puri.
  2. Heat oil and then on medium to slow flame fry the puri.

Serving Suggestion

  • You can serve it as a evening snack or for breakfast.
