Raita is a must have with all popular Indian dishes including Biryani, paratha etc. It gives a cool, refreshing touch to the entire meal. Though onion raita is the most widely made one, there are many other varieties of raita. I’ve already shared the recipes of onion raita, cucumber raita and carrot raita. Today I’ll share the recipe of Mixed Raita which includes different vegetables, fruits etc. The variety of ingredients gives a variation in texture and taste which makes it delicious. You can add or remove ingredients as per individual taste.
Recipe For Mixed Fruit and Vegetable Raita

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
- Yogurt (Curd) - 2 cups
- Milk – 2-3 tbsp
- Onion – 1 (about ½ cup chopped)
- Tomato – 1 (about ¼ cup chopped)
- Cucumber – ½ (about ½ cup chopped)
- Carrot – 1 (about ¼ cup chopped)
- Apple – ½ (about ½ cup chopped)
- Pomegranate – about ¼ cup
- Green Chili – 1 (finely chopped)
- Mint Leaves (chopped) – 1 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves (chopped) – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Roasted Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
- Red Chili Powder – ¼ tsp
Method
- Wash all the vegetables and fruits.
- Finely chop everything. Finely chop the green chili, coriander & mint leaves.
- Whisk the yogurt and milk smoothly.
- Mix all the chopped vegetables and fruits with the whisked curd. Add salt to taste.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, pomegranate seeds.
- Sprinkle some roasted cumin powder and red chili powder on top. Serve chilled.
Serving Suggestion
- Mixed fruit and vegetable raita goes well with briyani, parathas and pulao. It can also be had as a salad.
Variations
- Other ingredients that can be added to the raita could be chopped pineapples, pear, mango etc.
